Widow/Widower Support Group
If any widow or widower is interested in attending a support group, please indicate your interest by signing up on the sheet on the Sanctuary table or at this link.
Daycare Floor Maintenance
We need volunteers for moving furniture and other items for the floors to be stripped and waxed. In order to not interfere with daycare operations, the work must be done on Friday and Sunday for two weekends. The dates are June 20 & 22 and June 27 & 29.
VBS July 6-10
~ATTENTION ALL VBS WORKERS: If you have not completed the background check or child protection training, please do so by June 15. If you have any questions, please feel free to see Julie.
~VBS Times: 6:00-8:15 (kids & teens) | 7:00-8:00 (adults – taught by Andy Chatman)
~VBS Workers Breakfast July 6 at 8:30am in the Fellowship Hall. All workers are required to attend.
Joy Group Picnic Outing
The JOY Group will be going to Stone Mountain for a picnic on Thursday, June 12. Church vans are not available, so we will meet at the Hemlock Shelter at 11:00am. The meal and drinks will be provided but feel free to bring your favorite dessert to share. Please sign up on the bulletin board behind the Sanctuary.
Weekly Walking Group
As part of the Living Well Health Ministry, we will have a walking group for exercise and fellowship. Anyone who is interested can meet each Saturday morning at 9:00am at the Elkin Park Trail (in the parking lot next to the rec center). If you want to walk but don’t want to do it alone, please come and join us. See Katie Carter if you have any questions.
Elkin Elementary Backpack for Kids
The church will be donating individualized packaged food to support Elkin Elementary Backpack for Kids throughout the school year. We are asking for donations of any non-perishable food item. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please designate “Backpack for Kids.”
KidsQuest (K-6th grade)
~Children’s choir meets at 5:30 pm on the first and third Sundays.
Come Alive with Thrive
